Apologies, SFTC picks for 3/21

Holy crap we had a bad day yesterday.  For everyone, and especially you new-comers, we offer our deepest apologies.  I am in the middle of midterms this week, and stayed up way too late last night doing picks, and I wasn't thinking clearly.  I promise it was the worst day we've had by a long shot.

Anyway, we hope you will still come back to the site often.  Everyone has a bad now and then right?  I promise it won't happen again though.

Since I still have 2 more midterms tomorrow, but I still want to help you guys out, I am just going to give my picks, but no write-ups.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  I'm also super bummed that I have midterms tomorrow because all I want to do is watch the tournament games.  Speaking of, check out our site for Tournament Challenge and College Hoops Pick'em by clicking on the Basketball Games tab above.

My top 2 "stash" picks:

  1. Pittsburgh Panthers
  2. Any Other Result (Louisville vs. North Carolina A&T)

My picks for every prop:

  1. Hi Clark,

No need to apologize anymore!!! We know you have a life outside of SFTC! So do the rest of us! If everyone who uses your site for research uses ONLY your site, then they are in the wrong, not you. Your predictions, for me, have been about 80% correct. I think that is really good!

I compare sites to what I have already researched to see how close I am to each site's predictions. Sometimes I take your advice, sometimes I take others advice. But, usually I stay with what I picked from my own research. If I lose, I only have myself to blame.

For instance, look at that Belmont game today. All of the commenters were saying that Belmont was going to "rain 3's" all day on Arizona and their Winning Margin. They got exactly 8-3's to Arizona's 17 Winning Margin. Who really knew? It could have happened, just not today. I'm glad I stayed away!

Everyone just needs to move on and pick again if they lost instead of complaining to the very people who are trying to help the rest of us SFTCers.

Thank you Clark Stonehocker and anyone else who is associated with your GREAT RESOURCE website that I use EVERYDAY! Good luck to all who use this wonderful website and to those who continue to put it together!

By the way, I have stopped picking Soccer matches. I love watching them, but hate them when they seem to blow leads just to help the other clubs out. That is match fixing at its highest and I thought it was outlawed.

  2. I took Harvard: Free Throws Made or Tie vs. New Mexico: Winning Margin. Boy, am I glad I listen to my own research! It almost didn't make sense because so many other Streakers were for New Mexico!

    Harvard - 5.6%
    New Mexico - 94.4%

    What were THEY thinking?

    1. I am glad you did too. I was entering in the records for my picks today, and got to that game, and thought why in the world did I write down New Mexico winning margin? I must not have been thinking clearly last night.

I want to thank you for your kind comments. We are working hard to make this site the best it can be, and it's great to hear that someone really values it. I wish you the best of luck in your streaking and every other endeavor! -
