My top 3 "stash" picks for tomorrow:
- Soccer: Chelsea win
- NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder
- NCAAM: Michigan State Spartans
My picks for every prop:
- Golf: Angel Cabrera
- I don't know much about these 2 golfers, but Cabrera has been the more consistent golfer recently, and I'm just feeling the tie option here.
- Confidence: 60%
- Golf: Tiger Woods
- Rory McIlroy has all kinds of problems. He definitely doesn't have his head in the game. Tiger hasn't played his best golf lately, but he's sure in a better place than Rory. Tiger with the tie option should be money here.
- Confidence: 70%
- Soccer: Chelsea win
- I didn't find any head-to-head results for these 2 teams, and I don't know much about Steaua, but Chelsea seems like the clear pick here. They have no hope for the Premier league title and are out of the champions league, so this may be their only hope for a trophy or title this year.
- Confidence: 70%
- Soccer: Tottenham Hotspurs win
- These teams have not played each other this year. Tottenham has won each of the Europa league matches that they have played at home except for one. Their team is on fire, especially Gareth Bale. Inter is a tough team, but it's hard to ignore Tottenham's current form.
- Confidence: 60%
- Other: Dominican Republic
- Finally some world baseball challenge action! I actually tweeted SFTC about having some of these props, so maybe they got my tweet?! I'm sure a lot of other people did as well. I really like the Dominican Republic here. They have the likes of Robinson Cano, Miguel Tejada, and Hanley Ramirez.
- Confidence: 70%
- NHL: Montreal Canadiens
- Both of these teams are at the top of their divisions. Montreal just lost a day or so ago when they were featured on SFTC, but they have been consistent all season, and they have done well on the road. Their recent loss was their first regulation loss in over a month.
- Confidence: 60%
- NHL: New Jersey Devils
- The Devils have lost 6 straight games, and have not lost 7 straight since 1986. This will probably be the last time I pick them if they lose, but their losing streak has to end sometime. The Sabres haven't been that impressive, and the Devils are at home.
- Confidence: 50%
- NHL: Pittsburg Penguins
- The Penguins have consistently played good hockey. The Flyers have been inconsistent at times. The Penguins beat the Flyers earlier this year on the road. They also seem to win when they're featured on SFTC.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: UMass Minutemen
- UMass is favored by 2 in this game. They have beaten some good teams this year, and have a home record of 10 - 3. Butler is just 6 - 4 on the road, and is coming off a blowout loss to VCU.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: Kentucky Wildcats
- This is a must-win game for the Wildcats if they want any hope of making the tournament. They have really struggled without Noel, but are favored by 3 in this game. Georgia just recently beat Tennessee, but they have also lost to the likes of Mississippi St. and Vanderbuilt.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: 32 points or fewer
- Kentucky averages 75 points per game, or about 37 per half. Teams usually score more in the 2nd half than the first. This is a must-win game, so Kentucky will try to get a lead early and push the tempo. This really could go either way, but I'm just feeling the under.
- Confidence: 50%
- NCAAM: Virginia Cavaliers
- Virginia is favored by 5 in this game. They beat FSU by 20 at home back in January. Florida St. is definitely better at home than on the road, but I just give the edge to Virginia here.
- Confidence: 70%
- NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning
- The Lightning have been dominant over the Jets, going 15 - 2 -1 against them overall, and 9 - 0 - 1 against them at home. They beat the Jets 8 - 3 the only time they have played them this season.
- Confidence: 70%
- NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder
- The Knicks may still be without Carmello Anthony for this game. Even with him, I don't think the Knicks have any chance against the Thunder. The Thunder are just 17 - 12 on the road this season, but I'd be very surprised if they lose this one.
- Confidence: 90%
- NCAAM: Michigan State Spartans
- The Spartans are favored by 5 in this game, are 15 - 1 at home this season, and beat Wisconsin by 2 on the road earlier this season.
- Confidence: 70%
- NCAAM: 7 or more 3-pointers made in the first half
- Both of these teams can shoot the 3 well. Michigan State's defense is very good, so Wisconsin may be limited, but between the two teams they should net at least 7 if not more.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: Utah Utes
- This is a game between two of the bottom teams in the Pac12. Both teams play much better at home than on the road. Utah is currently favored by 2, and I just think they squeak out a win.
- Confidence: 50%
- NCAAM: Colorado Buffaloes
- Colorado is favored by 3 in this game. They also upset the Ducks in Eugene about a month ago. The Ducks have not been outstanding on the road, at just 6 - 3. I think the Buffaloes get another upset at home.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: Michigan St. scores first in the 2nd half
- Right now, this pick is a total tossup. Wait and see who gets the ball to start the 2nd half and who is playing better to start the 2nd half. I may change this pick later.
- Confidence: 50%
- NBA: Denver Nuggets
- I know a lot of people lost a few days ago when taking the Thunder over the Nuggets. The Nuggets beat the Clippers at home by 14 a couple months ago. Denver is favored by 3.5 in this game and are very hard to beat at home.
- Confidence: 50%
- NCAAM: UC Davis
- Oh forget it, I'm taking UC Davis here. Winning conference road games is always difficult, and Long Beach State is a lowly 6 - 8 on the road. UC Davis is favored by 2 here.
- Confidence: 50%
