Our top "stash" picks:
- NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
- NCAAM: Louisville wins by double digits
- Soccer: Southampton
- Reading is absolutely desperate for a win. They need points more than a teenager needs face wash. They are facing relegation in their first season after being promoted to the premier league. With only a handful of games left, Reading needs whatever points they can get, but even a draw would not be enough to get them moving up in the table. But sadly, today Reading is playing not one of the best teams in the EPL, but a very good team. Southampton has won their last 3 EPL matches and looks to be in great form. Even though Reading is desperate, I don't believe they have a chance today.

- Golf: 69 or lower
- MLB: Boston Red Sox
- Tennis: 6 or fewer
- Serena owns this matchup in the last 5 or so years and Venus hasn't exactly been in top form either. Also with her still struggling with her autoimmune disease will only compound the issue as she faces her healthier, stronger and younger sister. Serena will take this match quickly.
- Confidence: 70%
- MLB: Washington Nationals
- MLB: Chicago White Sox
- Soccer: PSV Eindhoven Win by 2+
- I have one major rule when it comes to making my picks on Streak for the Cash, unless I am in a slump and have a losing streak going, I try to avoid picks I know little or nothing about. This happens to be one of those. I watch a lot of soccer, but I don't remember the last time any of the soccer channels I have played a Dutch Eredivisie game. So let it be known, I have never watched either of these two teams play before. But PSV is in 3rd place in the table and is still very much in contention for the title. On the other hand, Willem II Tilburg is all the way at the bottom of the table. I have to believe that PSV will not only win this match but win it by 2 goals.
- Confidence: 50%
- NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
- Chicago's incredible start to the season seems like something of the distant past because it's been a while since they won. They are just 3 - 3 - 1 in their last 7. What's caused this recent slide? They have given up far too many goals in the third period of games, being outscored 11 - 5 in the third period of those games. Fortunately for Chicago, the Predators have been even worse, going just 1 - 2 - 2 in ther last 5, also struggling mightily in the third period of games. The Preds are also without their leading scorer Gabriel Bourque.
- Confidence: 80%
- NHL: Philadelphia Flyers
- The Flyers are on a great streak right now. They have won 4 in a row, and have scored 5 or more goals in each of their last 3. The Jets on the other hand, are mired in a losing streak and have been outscored 20 - 6 in their last 5 games. The Flyers are fighting their way into position for a playoff spot, and need this win to reach their goal.
- Confidence: 70%
- Tennis: Jankovic wins 2 - 0
- This is the first match between Jankovic and Voegele and that can always make things interesting as new adjustments are made on the court. Jankovic has been looking really good of late and has had some good results to show for it. Voegele has also had a couple of good tournaments but in the end it will be the savvy veteran who wins this match.
- Confidence: 60%
- MLB: Texas Rangers
- The Rangers pulled out a victory over the Angels yesterday off of an Ian Kinsler RBI. The Angels may be due for a win, and so far this season the baseball games have yielded some unexpected result. However, I think the Rangers get one more win today. The Rangers' pitcher, Matt Harrison, lost his first start this season, and didn't have great results against the Angels last season, but the Angels' Tommy Hanson, has not be spectacular either. In fact, his ERA has risen every year since his rookie season in 2009.
- Confidence: 60%
- MLB: San Francisco Giants
- Ryan Voglesong is part of a stellar rotation of pitchers. Those of the rotation that have started so far include Matt Cain, Madison Bumgarner, Tim Lincecum and Barry Zito, who have combined to give up two unearned runs and 12 hits over 26 innings. Voglesong only had one start against the Cardinals last season, in which he shut them out over 7 innings. Shelby Miller was mostly a relief pitcher for the Cardinals last season and had only one start last year, the last game of the season. Miller has done pretty well in the spring, but the Giants are very good at home, and Voglesong gets another win here.
- Confidence: 70%
- LAX: Syracuse win or lose by 1
- These two teams have a long history of close games with exciting results. Syracuse leads the all-time series 19 - 9. Both teams have very similar stats in every category. They have only played one common opponent this season, Johns Hopkins, who Princeton beat 11 - 8 and Syracuse beat 13 - 8. Both teams are 6 - 2 so far this season and each of their losses have been by 1 goal. All of these stats point to a win or loss by 1 for Syracuse.
- Confidence: 70%
- NCAAM: Louisville wins by double digits
- As @ESPNStreak tweeted today, Wichita State last made the Final Four in 1965 and lost to UCLA. You can get more info about these Final Four picks by checking out our write-ups about the Final Four on our Basketball site.
- Confidence: 80%
- NBA: Indiana Pacers
- I have to pick the Pacers over the Wizards, but the Wizards are starting to play a little bit better. With John Wall back in the lineup, the Wizards are looking like a team that could have been competing for a playoff spot if they had John Wall all season. But even though the Wizards are looking better, the Pacers are still one of the best teams in the East and even though the Knicks have won 11 straight, they are still within striking distance of claiming the number 2 spot in the East. It should be a close game, but the better team should win.
- Confidence: 60%
- NHL: Montreal Canadiens
- NHL: New York Islanders
- NHL: New York Rangers
- NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs
- MLB: Philadelphia Phillies
- MLB: Arizona Diamondbacks
- MLB: Oakland As
- Soccer: 3 + Goals
- Five matches into the season and Colorado has scored a total of 4 goals while Real Salt Lake has scored just 5 total goals. Neither team is looking like much of a threat to score. These teams already met once this season and the game finished in a 1-1 draw. So it may be a stretch to predict that there will be at least 3 goals scored in this game, but I have to believe that at some point these two sides will start putting the ball into the net.
- Confidence: 50%
- NHL: Washington Capitals
- NBA: Heat winning margin or tie
- The 76ers average 12.1 free throws made per game. The Heat have won the previous meetings this season against the 76ers by an average of 12.4 points. The Heat may still be without Lebron and D Wade, but what better time for them to come back than at home? They are the only players that may be missing for the Heat. I think the Heat could still win this prop without them. The 76ers have been far from impressive this season, especially on the road.
- Confidence: 70%
- NCAAM: Michigan Wolverines
- @ESPNStreak tweeted today that John Beilein is 0 - 9 against Syracuse's Jim Boeheim. What do we think? You can get more info about these Final Four picks by checking out our write-ups about the Final Four on our Basketball site.
- Confidence: 60%
- NCAAM: Trey Burke or Mitch McGary or Tie
- NCAAM: Syracuse more points 2nd half or tie
